AEMO suspends the national electricity Market FAQs

As you may have seen in the news at 2.05pm 15th June 2022 the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) suspended the National Electricity Market across all five participating states, saying the market has become “impossible” to operate because of the soaring cost of fossil fuels and generators withholding their capacity from the market. Currently, TOU or Flat rate customers or customer in WA or NT will not be affected by this change. Evergen is actively monitoring all customer’s systems, optimising outcomes, and will publish further announcements and recommendations as new information comes to light.
